Jan O'Connor
Managing Director - UK

Jan joined Bainbridge in 2006 from Contax, the leading UK distributor of production equipment for the electronics manufacturing sector, where he led a management buy-in/buy-out in 1999. Prior to that Jan spent 14 years with Balfour Beatty plc in a variety of commercial and financial roles in businesses engaged in construction and residential property development. Jan is based in the UK and is responsible for the group’s European and Asian activities.
Mike Cuscia
Chief Executive Officer

Mike is based at our American location in Canton, Massachusetts. Mike joined Bainbridge as Financial Controller in August 1997 and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 1999. Prior to Bainbridge, Mike worked for Invensys Plc, based in Windsor, UK. In addition to his responsibilities for BI USA, he is also the Managing Director for Bainbridge International Pty Ltd based in Brookvale, Australia.

John Short
Group Chairman

John founded Short & Norville Ltd (UK) in 1970 and Aquabatten Inc (USA) in 1981, specialising in the design, manufacture and distribution of sailmakers hardware.  Both companies were sold to Howe & Bainbridge (USA) in 1985, to become the Bainbridge/Aquabatten group.  John Short at this time re-located to live in the USA.  In 1989, John arranged the LBO of the Bainbridge/Aquabatten group from its parent The Dexter Corporation (USA) and the name was changed to Bainbridge International.  John returned to live in the UK in 1991.  He has been married since 1985, has 2 daughters and has a keen interest in gardening.

Alan Meyers
Director of Procurement and New Business Development

Alan has been with Bainbridge for more than 26 years. He started Aquabatten Inc in the USA with John Short in 1981 and helped to consolidate Aquabatten and Howe & Bainbridge in 1985. Prior to Bainbridge, Alan worked for almost 10 years with North Sails in the UK, Italy and USA.
